Skimping on Maintenance = Mold Issues

Toronto’s public housing has had its share of bad press over the last few years, from bureaucratic excesses to the unfortunate state of many of the Toronto Housing Commissions’ properties, where mold and other issues are an ongoing concern. For the first time, their state of neglect is becoming the focus of a comprehensive financing plan that’s looking at a whopping $2.6 billion over 10 years to adequately repair and renovate the properties in question.
